Executive summary

Sustainability is a hot and super relevant topic – and the theme of the annual Supply Chain Leaders Forum 2019 held at CBS.

Inspiring presentations where given by key leaders from UNDP, Royal Holloway University of London, Chr. Hansen, Dansk Retursystem (the Danish Deposit system), Vestas, Inspired-Search and Supply Chain Media BV. All presentations were followed by good questions and discussion.

This year’s conference recognised leadership and academic excellence in the supply chain by awarding the best supply chain leader, and the best supply chain students in Denmark from CBS and DTU. The SYNCRONIC-award for ‘Best Supply Chain Executive in Denmark 2019’ went to Carsten Rasmussen, COO at the LEGO Group.

This year’s conference was organised by CBS and AAASCM (involving SYNCRONIC) in close collaboration with DTU and IDA Operations Management, and as usual hosted by CBS. Over 300 participants across business and academia had signed up in order to enjoy the conference and award show, while visiting the 20+ booths exhibiting best CBS and DTU projects, organizers  services, and various key sponsors theme-related services and product.

A new peak in the SCLF history has achieved with this annual conference, expo and award show – 8th Supply Chain Leaders Forum 2019.
