The Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI) will conduct research in tomorrow’s energy infrastructure from an economic policy point-of-view to ensure a successful transition towards a new sustainable European Energy Infrastructure based on volatile and largely renewable energy sources.
CSEI is founded as a research center at CBS' Department of Economics and will deliver expertise and new knowledge as well as education within energy infrastructure in close cooperation with stakeholders from the sector, the European Commission and the society at large. CSEI is established with the direct support of the European Commission (DG Energy), and will qualify the discussions at the Commission’s annual Copenhagen Energy Infrastructure Forum.
The establishment of CSEI was made possible by a group of major funders. CSEI will extend its partnerships to more partners in industry, public sector and research institutions in the future. The research will analyze the consequences of digitalization of the energy sector and its impact on energy infrastructure, investigate efficient regional decision-making procedures, explore ways to promote public acceptance of energy technology and infrastructure projects and examine the financial challenges to energy industry.
The official opening of Copenhagen School of Energy Infrastructure (CSEI) takes place on November, 18th 2019 from 3.30 PM-5.30 PM. Please register here!
